Abstract:
Wearable device is a new kind of intelligent terminal hardware in healthcare. The studies on its adoption attract more and more attention among scholars. It will help the supplier to seize the focus of the product to attract customers, and take effective strategies to enhance product satisfaction. This research conducted a meta-analysis of 25 studies on users’ adoption toward wearable device, in order to explore and examine the effect of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived enjoyment, perceived risk, subjective norm, relative advantage, compatibility, design aesthetics, personal innovativeness and subcultural appeal of products on attitude and behavioral intention. According to the results, perceived usefulness has the most significant effect on attitude and behavioral intention. A comprehensive research model was proposed based on the results of analysis and the suggestions are that wearable device providers should focus on improving products’ performance and user’ experience, etc.
