Abstract: This paper aims to analyze patient's privacy leakage tolerance of their medical data in the context of medical big data. Referred to the existing privacy research frameworks, patient's privacy leakage tolerance of their medical data was measured from three dimensions: data type sensitivity, leakage path sensitivity, and use purpose sensitivity. The patient's privacy tolerance behavior is analyzed by modifying the BDM mechanism and converting the patient's value perception and the privacy leakage tolerance of their medical data. There are significant differences in the privacy leakage tolerance among patients with different diseases. The privacy leakage tolerance of infectious (except AIDS), mental, malignancy, and cardio-vascular disorder are 0.135, 0.238, 0.348, and 0.435, respectively. The same patient's privacy leakage tolerance in scientific research is significantly higher than commercial use.It may provide a reference for hospitals and other institutions in formulating policies for the rational use of medical data and protecting patient's personal privacy with introducing risk tolerance into the context of medical data leakage and measuring the patient's awareness of the privacy leakage tolerance of their medical data.
