Open Access to Data Makes Science Benefit More Individuals——Progress and Prospect of Open Science and Open Access to Scientific Data in China

Abstract: Global challenges such as the soaring research costs, the crisis of research reproducibility, and the need for citizen science are transforming global scientific research. As a new paradigm of scientific research, open science characterized by high collaboration, open access, data sharing and research transparency has become an inevitable trend of global scientific research. China has great potential and has made unremitting efforts in open access and sharing of scientific data. At the same time, open science is faced with the challenges of insufficient incentives, transparency and quality concerns of open access journals . From the cooperation of institutions, projects, laws and education, this paper puts forward several suggestions for further promoting the implementation of open science.
