Abstract:

Value Unit Modeling is the most important task for data management based on value chain. By analyzing the evolution of theories for value chain, this paper defines the concept of value network, value and value unit from the perspective of data management. Then it analyzes the connotations and interrelationships of factors in the value unit, including actor, value activity, resource, capability, value input and value output. At last, the semantic ontology technology is used to construct the Unified Description Model of value unit. It will implement a virtualized description of value unit and provide the basic support for the achievement of socialized data management oriented by value network.
