Abstract:

Content Analysis is an effective way to detect topical structure and reflect the evolution of research domains. Analyzing the research papers published on two CSSCI indexed journals on Archives Science during the last 10 years by utilizing topic model and time series analysis, this paper shows that combination of these methods can be used to identify the research topics and analyze the topic evolution. Chinese Archives Science research topics of last 10 years consist of 12 types, i.e.paradigm of Archives Science, electronic file management, archive service and management and so on.Besides, this study analyzes development process of these topics through time distribution, concludes the strengths and weaknesses of such methods used in this paper, and give some advices for better usage.
