Abstract:

E-commerce related studies published in seven library and information science journals during the period of 2006~2013 in CNKI were evaluated and analyzed with traditional statistical analysis approach and the probabilistic topic model LDA. By comparing the published rate of papers, web downloads, total citations and quotation rate by other journals, the academic contribution and influence of different journals in the researches about electronic commerce were studied. And from the implied research topics extracted by LDA, the semantic information and its distribution on the journals were discovered as well, which could help to grasp the e-commerce research status of library and information science domain. The results reveal the development situation of e-commerce related studies in library and information science from 2006 to 2013.
