Abstract: Preprint papers have played a prominent role during the COVID-19 pandemic by accelerating the exchange and sharing of research findings. The existing research lacks the multi-dimensional advantage test of preprint influence. This paper explores and verifies the impact of bioRxiv archiving on the number of citations, social attention, and clinical translational potential of later published journal papers.Taking the bioRxiv preprint platform as an example, the influence advantages of journal papers archived on the bioRxiv preprint platform in terms of citation, social attention and clinical transformation potential were calculated by selecting three sub-fields of neuroscience, bioinformatics and genetics, and the significance of the influence was verified by quantile regression method. It is found that bioRxiv's self-archived journal papers have multi-dimensional influence advantages. The influence advantages of journal papers in different disciplines are different. BioRxiv self-archiving has different effects on paper citation times, social attention and clinical transformation potential at different levels.
