A Review on Modeling Social Media User’s Emotion Based on Cognitive Science

Abstract: This paper reviews the research progress of modeling social media user’s emotion based on cognitive science. With the help of CiteSpace, we find that current studies focus on social cognition, decision making, emotion regulation, and machine learning. And we also find that emotion regulation based on cognitive science and the integration of cognitive science and machine learning are emerging research topics. For the problem of neglecting individual’s experience and knowledge, separating the neurophysiological mechanism and cognitive mechanisms, and also the not effectively integrated social cognition and individual cognition, we put forward the future research worth attention.
