Abstract: Eye tracking is a new research method in the field of network retrieval. This paper describes the principle of this method and its application process, summarizes its achievements in the fields of user search behavior, search results display and retrieval relevance. This paper also presents the method’s deficiencies and solutions, and makes a vision for future development directions in the end.
