Abstract:

As more and more companies are deploying corporate blogs, studies on the continued usage patterns of such systems become increasingly significant in both academic research and field practice. In order to better understand the continued usage patterns, we propose a multi-dimensional method called the AFT approach, which is aimed at describing the patterns with usage amounts, usage fluctuation, and usage trajectory. Using the corporate blogging system data collected from a company, we illustrate that the AFT approach can help understand the continued usage patterns better. This article also examines the potential factors that affect the continued usage patterns, revealing that both personal characteristics and work related factors have significant impacts on all the dimensions of continued usage patterns.
