Abstract:

In view of the use benefit and efficiency of foreign electronic journal full-text database (FEJFD), quantized parameters are selected to measure the use of the FEJFD and then formulations are given for the use benefit and efficiency. Purchasing and using of the FEJFD are regarded as the input-output production process. Based on the production function theory in economics, the decline law of the use benefit and efficiency of the FEJFD is investigated. The feasibility of this model is validated by the application to the Library of Guangxi University. The computational results in this example show that the use benefit and efficiency of the FEJFD comply with the decline law and have the hysteresis nature.
