Abstract: As an important source of materials and data, web archive should not be limited to library science and information management, but should be widely used in more research fields. By summarizing relevant literature retrieved from the WoS and CNKI database, this paper illustrates the status quo of scholarly use of web archive in social sciences and arts & humanities. An analysis of subjects, research topics and methodologies are provided. Opportunities for innovation and future research trends are then discussed.
