Abstract:
The development of information technology has a profound impact on the consumer health information behavior. We try systematic and comprehensive review on the role of information technology in health information behavior on the basis of related literatures in recent years, summarizing the impact of information technology on health information behavior from four aspects: health information awareness and literacy, health information needs, health information seeking and utilization, and health information evaluation. At last we conclude that combining the two subject may promote the formulation of the relevant national health policies and improve health information service system, and point out the future research direction based on the integration of information technology and health information behavior.
