Abstract:
Social question and answer (social Q&A) platforms broaden the way of online information access for users, and users post tons of questions and answers on those platforms. The growing popularity of social Q&A platforms presents great academic research opportunities and novel challenges. This paper aims to review and synthesize the advances of social Q&A studies on question classification, question recommendation, question retrieval, expert discovery in answerers and answer evaluation. Potential research opportunities and directions are presented and discussed at last.
