A Brief History of Macro Policy and Basic System Development of Internet Content Management in China

Abstract: In early April 1994, China formally accessed the Internet for the first time. Since then, the development and popularization of network technology has opened up a new way for our citizens to change their private lives and participate in public affairs. At the early stage of Internet development, the core areas of macro-policy and management system in China are mainly focused on the Internet domain name system, Internet external publicity system and information and network security system. The further development of China's Internet content management system is mainly embodied in the deepening development of Internet news information service system, network video program management system and network game management system. This paper combs the history of Internet content governance in China, summarizes the achievements of Internet content management in China, deepens the top-level design of China's macro-policy of Internet content management, and speeds up the implementation of China's strategy of network power.
