Abstract:

This paper adopted the experimental method to set up the real autonomous learning task for university students, explored the characteristics of user information search patterns through log analysis, and compared the learning effects caused by different information search behaviors. The results showed that the characteristics of information searching behaviors of autonomous learners are:(1) limited and inadequately information sources; (2) few or no query reconstruction even in a relatively long period; (3) ignoring results with low ranking or less downloading numbers. In addition, different information searching patterns lead to different effects. This paper enriches the research context of information search behavior and has practical significance and practical implications for students, teachers, and system designers.
