Abstract: It is necessary to establish a scientific and efficient market governance mechanism to foster the high-quality development of the data element market. This paper examines the governance mechanisms of the data element market, proposing three governance models: market-oriented governance, vertical governance, and relational governance. It also compares their characteristics to analyze the current situation and challenges of market governance mechanisms. This paper emphasizes that China needs to adopt multiple governance models simultaneously, establishing a governance structure that primarily focuses on market-oriented governance, supplemented by vertical governance, and complemented by relational governance as a key addition. Furthermore, this paper offers specific countermeasures and suggestions for the further improvement of these three governance models.
