Cultural Interpretation of the Development of Library Science Education in China

摘要: 从文化角度出发,讲述中国百年图书馆学教育发展历程,分析影响图书馆学教育发展的文化要素,揭示图书馆学教育对文化影响的路径,以助力中国特色图书馆学教育走出去和文化强国战略实现。采用文献研究法和历史研究法,借助教育文化功能理论,阐述中国百年来图书馆学教育与文化的互动机制、结果,以史为鉴,在宏观层面提出图书馆学教育助力文化强国战略实现的发展方向。研究发现,图书馆学教育与文化联系紧密,新文化运动催生图书馆学教育,中国传统文化成为推动图书馆学教育本土化的不竭动力,马克思主义中国化深刻影响中国图书馆学教育发展方向,多元文化融入促进图书馆学教育理念的转变。同时,图书馆学教育通过保存传承、选择传播、融合发展和创新创造等路径,对文化产生重要影响。文化强国战略下,图书馆学教育要在文化传承、融合、创新、传播中发挥更大的影响。

Abstract: From the perspective of culture, the paper describes the development of library science education in China over the past century and analyzes the cultural factors that have influenced this development, so as to reveal the path of library science education’ s impact on culture and help library science education with chinese characteristics go global and realize the strategy of building a strong cultural country.Using the method of literature research and historical research, and with the help of the theory of cultural functions of education, this paper expounds the interactive mechanism and outcomes of library science education and culture in China for more than a hundred years. Taking history as a mirror, it proposes the developing direction of library science education boosting the realization of building a strong cultural country. The paper finds that library science education and culture are closely linked. The New Culture Movement gave birth to library science education. Chinese traditional culture has become an inexhaustible driving force to promote the localization of library science education. The Sinicization of Marxism has also profoundly affected the development direction of library science education in China. At the same time, the integration of multiculturalism has facilitated the transformation of library science education concepts. Moreover, library science education has had an important impact on culture. Under the strategy of cultural power, it should play a larger role.
