社交媒体隐私政策与用户自我表露的实证研究:一个被调节的中介模型

Empirical Research on Social Media Privacy Policy and User Self-disclosure: A Moderated Intermediary Model

摘要: 基于隐私关注的APCO理论模型,整合隐私计算理论,考察社交媒体用户的隐私政策(包括隐私政策理解和有效性感知两个维度)对自我表露的影响机制。以社交媒体用户为调查研究对象(N=579),研究发现,社交媒体信任在隐私政策与自我表露间起中介效应,隐私计算成本在隐私政策与社交媒体信任间起调节效应,当用户的隐私计算成本低时,隐私政策通过增强社交媒体信任,促进自我表露行为。本研究创新性地提出和证实了隐私政策对自我表露的影响是非线性的,表现为一个被调节的中介效应模型,进一步丰富了既有的APCO理论模型。

Abstract: Based on the APCO theoretical model of privacy concerns and integrating the theory of privacy calculations, the research examines the impact mechanism of social media users’ privacy policy (including the understanding of privacy policy and the perception of effectiveness) on self-disclosure.We collected 579 effective questionnaires from social media users,and SPSS was used to analyze data.The research finds that social media trust has a mediating effect between privacy policy perception and self-disclosure. Privacy computing cost plays a moderating role between privacy policy perception and social media trust. When users' perception of privacy computing cost is low, privacy policy perception will promote self-disclosure through social media trust. This study finds that the influence path of privacy policy and self-disclosure is not a simple linear model, but a complex, multi-linear mediated effect model for the first time. The research results have a certain explanatory role in understanding the influence mechanism of privacy policy on self-disclosure and can further enrich the APCO.
